Event Information: Join us for the 10K Run/5K Walk on September 5, 2009 starting at 7:00 a.m. CDT.
Featuring a scenic course at an elevation of about 4700 feet above sea level and excellent weather, Marfa is the perfect destination for the Labor Day Weekend where you can combine the Marfa Lights Festival September 4-6, 2009 and the 10K Run/5K Walk in the highland country of Texas.
Requirements:
- You must be at least 12 years old to participate in the 10K Run/5K Walk.
- You must be able to complete the 10K Run/5K Walk within 2 hours.
- You must be in good health and physically prepared to take on the challenge of the 10K Run/5K Walk.
- You must register in advance.
- You must show photo ID to receive your bib number.
- You must pick up your own race packet with bib number at 10K Run/5K Walk booth on the Court House lawn Friday the 4th.
- Bib numbers are required to participate.
- No vehicles, bikes, in-line skates, skateboards, baby joggers or dogs will be allowed on the course.
Awards: Awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place runners will be by Age Groups and Gender. All other runners as well as walkers who finish within the 2-hour limit will get a finisher's medal.

Cancellation Information: Entry fees are NON-REFUNDABLE and entries are NON-TRANSFERABLE. Sorry, no exceptions. Once we receive and accept your entry, you will not receive a refund if you cannot participate. You may not give or sell your number to anyone else. You also may not transfer your application to the following year. If you registered and are unable to participate in the Event, we will be happy to mail your participant T-shirt to you. Please fill out and submit the Cancellation/T-shirt Request Form. Participant T-shirts will be mailed approximately 4-6 weeks after the event.
